The Exhibit

A photography exhibit is available for circulation in appropriately equipped venues. Each exhibit consists of 28 framed and wired, large-format photographs (20"x24”), accompanying storyboards, and an introductory text panel.

Unacceptable Losses: Drugs and Addiction in the United States The exhibit draws from the entire body of work. In particular, it focuses on issues of treatment, sentencing reform, syringe access, harm reduction and medical marijuana. Recurring themes include the intersection of mental illness, HIV/AIDS, the spread of disease, prostitution, sexuality, homelessness, incarceration and poverty with drug abuse.

Recommendations

Venues must be able to professionally install a large photography exhibit. A minimum of 150 linear feet of wall space is suggested. Venues will be legally liable for insuring the work as well as covering shipping costs. However, we do not wish to pass over any venue simply due to lack of funds. Please contact us to explore exhibition possibilities.

Speaking Engagements

A PowerPoint presentation and lecture on the consequences of US drug policy and the work from Unacceptable Losses has been presented in New York for the Humanity In Action foundation, at the Betty Ford treatment Center outside of Los Angeles, at the 2006 National Harm Reduction Coalition Conference in California, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine; similar presentations can be arranged for appropriate venues.
